Jesus often presented the Gospel with stories. We give them the name of "parables" but that's just  a name for stories carrying messages. It is very likely that Jesus incorporated some acting into His stories. Think of Him acting the man searching for a splinter in his friends eye, while staggering about with a huge weaver's beam in his own eye.

In this tradition there is in our church a colourful  gang of weirdos who visit local schools, care homes, etc. presenting the Gospel by acting out entertaining stories. Behind the curtain they are guided by a number of our resourceful and imaginative members and young people.
