A Church is a group of people:

   * believing in the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins through His death on a cross
   * receiving a new spiritual life through His resurrection from the dead
   * seeking to keep day to day living under the control of that spiritual life
   * trying to show the love and compassion of Jesus in a misguided and confused world
   * looking forward to the return in triumph of the Lord Jesus Christ

And THE Church is the worldwide fellowship of all such groups, regardless of the denominational label adopted
